# 02 Game System

## 02 Game System

> **Summary:**\
> This chapter introduces ANOME’s evolving game ecosystem — a multi-mode on-chain gaming framework that combines strategic gameplay, NFT asset ownership, transparent settlement, and sustainable reward mechanics.
>
> Rather than operating as a single standalone game, ANOME functions as an integrated GameFi protocol where different battle products serve different user behaviors, engagement levels, and participation goals. Each mode contributes to asset circulation, burn activity, ecosystem incentives, and long-term protocol growth.

### Overview

ANOME’s game system is designed as a layered gameplay ecosystem built around NFT cards, on-chain battle logic, and economic redistribution.

Each game product is connected by the same core principles:

* NFT-based participation
* transparent and verifiable battle outcomes
* burn-driven scarcity
* on-chain reward distribution
* repeatable user engagement loops

The current ANOME game ecosystem consists of three main products:

* ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena
* ANOME Destiny
* ANOME ONE

Within this structure, ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena also includes a dedicated Auto Battler Mode, expanding accessibility for users who prefer a more streamlined gameplay experience.

Together, these products allow ANOME to serve a broader range of users, from strategy-focused players to lighter participants seeking simplified interaction, risk-managed gameplay, or repeatable reward opportunities.

ANOME features a unique **3x3 PvP battle system**, designed to maximize **fairness**, **strategic depth**, and **competitive balance**.

Each player (Red and Blue sides) is assigned **5 cards**.\
Players take turns placing cards on the **3x3 grid** until all slots are filled.

### Card Mechanics

<p align="center"><img src="https://3964353154-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0q7qPqTLols6DxiXCI5t%2Fuploads%2F251im5zNzL3kaKIkJdLh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=379636e0-b7c5-4d51-9841-db6144d4035c" alt=""></p>

Every NFT card has **four directional values** — **top, bottom, left, right** — each ranging from **1 to 9**.\
A special value **A** represents **10**.

Cards also have **levels (1–10)** which affect gameplay strategy and deck-building constraints, but **not price**.

To ensure balance:

* Each match allows a **maximum of two Level-7 or higher cards**.
* In *Normal Mode*, card decks are **automatically generated** by the system.
* In future *Advanced Modes*, players can **manually build custom decks**.

> 💡 Tip: Effective deck building requires attention to both side values and card levels. A balanced mix of high-level and strategically chosen cards can significantly influence match outcomes.

### Battle Rules

When placing a card adjacent to an opponent’s card, a **comparison mechanic** is triggered:

* If your card’s adjacent value **>** the opponent’s adjacent value → the opponent’s card **flips** to your color.
* If your card’s adjacent value **≤** the opponent’s adjacent value → no flip occurs.
* Cards that are not adjacent **do not interact**.

At the end of the match:

* When all 9 slots are filled, the player with **more cards of their color** wins.
* The **lowest-value card** among both players is **burned** by the system.
* The remaining **9 cards** go to the **winner**.

### Card Characters & Assets

All ANOME cards are based on **original or co-created IP content**.\
Current card series include:

* Iconic gaming archetypes and cultural tributes
* Pop culture and mythological inspirations
* Web3 event-themed commemorative cards
* Co-branded collaborations with high-quality projects and brands

Unlike traditional trading cards, ANOME cards are not ranked by rarity. Instead, they are scored on a 1-10 scale to ensure fair and strategic gameplay.

Card prices are determined dynamically by player-driven supply and demand, rather than IP type or score.

### UGC Mechanism (User-Generated Content)

Players will soon be able to create their own NFT cards through the **UGC system**.\
Each time those cards are used or burned in matches, creators earn up to **30% of the burn reward pool** — establishing an *open content economy* that encourages continuous, high-quality creation.

> This mechanism transforms players into co-creators, ensuring that ANOME’s game world expands organically through its community.

### Fairness and Transparency

All battle outcomes, card flips, burns, and reward distributions are executed **fully on-chain**.\
This guarantees **transparency**, **verifiability**, and **fair play** — the core principle behind ANOME’s gaming ecosystem.

### ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena Auto Battler Mode

As part of the ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena framework, ANOME also features an Auto Battler Mode designed to improve accessibility and gameplay efficiency.

In this mode, the battle still takes place within the same 3x3 grid structure and follows the same underlying card interaction logic, but placement and battle resolution are handled automatically by the system.

This mode is intended to reduce user friction, shorten battle time, and support a more scalable participation model for broader user onboarding.

The Auto Battler Mode is especially suitable for:

* users who prefer lower-complexity participation
* higher-frequency gameplay cycles
* event-driven campaigns
* larger-scale user activation

By introducing an automated mode within the same core battle system, ANOME is able to preserve the identity of its flagship strategic product while making it more flexible for different participation preferences.

### ANOME Destiny

ANOME Destiny is a faster and lighter battle product within the ANOME ecosystem, designed to create a more accessible entry point while maintaining strategic competition and economic value circulation.

Unlike the 9 Grid Battle Arena, Destiny operates through a 3-card versus 3-card structure, allowing matches to be completed more quickly and with lower gameplay complexity.

The battle logic is based on a rock-paper-scissors framework, where card selection, matchup logic, and battle outcome are driven by simplified but still competitive mechanics.

At the end of each battle:

* the winner receives 2 cards from the losing side
* the lowest-value card involved in the match is burned by the system

This creates a high-frequency gameplay loop that supports scarcity, value redistribution, and stronger daily activity across the ecosystem.

ANOME Destiny plays an important role in ANOME’s product design because it lowers the barrier to participation while preserving the protocol’s core economic structure. It is especially effective as an onboarding product for new users and as a repeat-play mode for users seeking faster engagement.

### ANOME ONE

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo0TNuvmZkg>" %}

ANOME ONE is a variation of the ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena, designed to provide a more capital-efficient and accessible gameplay experience for users.

While the original ANOME 9 Grid Battle Arena requires users to purchase 5 cards in order to participate in a single battle round, ANOME ONE significantly lowers the entry barrier by requiring users to purchase only 1 card per round.

This design reduces the initial participation cost and allows users to engage in gameplay with greater flexibility and frequency.

By lowering the capital requirement per match, ANOME ONE is positioned as a more efficient participation model within the ANOME ecosystem, particularly for newer users and users seeking higher capital turnover.

Despite the simplified entry structure, ANOME ONE retains the strategic foundation of the original 9 Grid battle framework and continues to operate within ANOME’s unified on-chain economic loop.

In addition, the yield efficiency of ANOME ONE is designed to be substantially higher than the original game mode.

Compared to the standard 9 Grid Battle Arena, ANOME ONE offers a more optimized reward-to-capital ratio, allowing users to generate stronger yield efficiency per round while deploying less capital.

This makes ANOME ONE especially suitable for:

* higher-frequency gameplay
* improved capital efficiency
* better yield optimization
* repeat participation loops

To further support user retention and confidence, ANOME ONE also incorporates a protected reward structure:

* if the user wins, the user receives a 15% reward in ANOME tokens
* if the user loses, the user receives a 100% refund of the original card value

This framework combines capital efficiency, reduced entry barriers, and downside protection, making ANOME ONE one of the most user-friendly and scalable products within the ANOME game ecosystem.

In selected rounds, additional reward chests and bonus ecosystem incentives may also be distributed, further improving replayability and long-term retention.
